At the start of the new school year, 120 students from Baliapara and four nearby villages received books, materials and school bags.
On the first day of the new school year, 120 students received study materials at a small ceremony in the foundation's courtyard: exercise books, pens, geometry sets, school bags and the textbooks they needed.
The chairman, members of the governing body and head teachers from four local schools attended. Teachers said that every year a number of students stop attending regularly simply because they cannot buy materials, and that this support is bringing that number down.
The chairman said the education programme plans to add 50 more students this year. Anyone who would like to contribute can contact the foundation office.
